DIP Headphone Jack PJ-3005-5P

The DIP Headphone Jack PJ-3005-5P is a 5-pin DIP headphone jack for 3.5mm stereo audio connections, rated at AC 12V / 0.5A. The connector is built from phosphor bronze with silver or gold-plated solder pins. The additional pins give the board design more routing options for the stereo channels and ground, and the through-hole format provides a strong mechanical anchor. It suits audio output stages on PCBs that use standard wave-soldering assembly.

With five pins, the layout has to match the board exactly, so our drawing-based production flow starts from the customer's footprint. The engineering team confirms pin spacing and pin length against the 2D/3D drawing, validates the part in a sample, and only then releases the order for mass production. This removes fit uncertainty on the customer's assembly line, which is the main risk when integrating a multi-pin audio connector.

Application 1: Audio amplifiers and mixers

Amplifier boards route headphone monitoring through a multi-pin jack; the 5-pin layout gives designers dedicated contacts for the signal and ground paths.

Application 2: Car audio panels

Panel-mounted audio connectors in vehicles need a stable solder connection against vibration, which the DIP format provides.

Application 3: Multimedia devices

Set-top boxes and media players with headphone output can use the extra pins to separate signal and ground routing cleanly on the board.

Customization

 

Pin layout, pin length, plating and packaging can be customized. We work from drawings or samples and confirm feasibility before quotation, with OEM/ODM support available.

Export packing uses inner bags and cartons, with optional blister trays, labels and outer carton markings. EXW and FOB trade terms are supported; standard payment is 30% deposit and 70% balance before shipment.
