DIP DC 5.5×2.0mm-DC-164

The DIP DC 5.5×2.0mm-DC-164 is a through-hole DC barrel jack with a 5.5mm outer barrel and a 2.0mm center pin, offering a compact standard DC inlet for boards with fixed layouts. Rated at DC 30V / 3A with 3 pins, it is built from phosphor bronze terminals and an H65 brass body, with silver or gold plating on the solder pins. The DIP package allows the connector to be placed directly on the PCB and soldered in the same wave process as other through-hole components.

Where the DC-164 is selected, the board layout is usually already fixed, so the value of our production lies in matching the customer's footprint precisely. We manufacture from 2D/3D drawings, confirm the pin spacing and solder-pin length in the sample stage, and only then release for mass production. This drawing-based workflow reduces the risk of fit problems on the customer's line, and the sample step lets the buyer validate the part against the actual PCB before committing to a large order.

Application 1: Computer peripherals and monitors

Peripherals such as monitors and docking stations often reuse a proven 5.5 x 2.0mm inlet. The DC-164 mounts firmly on the board and mates with the adapters supplied with these products.

Application 2: Security cameras and CCTV equipment

Cameras need a reliable DC input that stays connected in enclosures subject to vibration. The through-hole solder joints and plated contacts support long, trouble-free service.

Customization

 

Customization options include solder pin length, pin layout adjustment, plating finish and packaging format. We review customer drawings or samples, confirm feasibility and lead time before quotation, and support OEM/ODM arrangements.

Standard export packing is inner bags plus cartons, with optional blister trays, labels and outer carton markings. EXW and FOB trade terms are supported; standard payment is 30% deposit and 70% balance before shipment.
